SELF-DISTRIBUTION

A note to wine stores and restaurants. As a registered solicitor in the state of Ohio, and owner of an A-2 winery permit, I can legally sell wine to permit holders without a distributor. There seems to be a lot of misinformation about this. Contact Liquor Control if you have any questions about this.

WINE STORE TASTINGS:
Ohio law prohibits us from supplying free samples to the public for tasting. For Ron or I to participate in a tasting for the public, samples must be paid for at wholesale. We know that lots of wineries and distributors ignore this law. We are intimately involved with Columbus legislators to improve the laws for everyone. We won't knowingly break the law.

Map to the vineyard:

From Hwy 52 east of Ripley drive north on 62/68 to the first right hand turn, North Pole Road. Go up the hill about a mile to Kinkead Road (a brick house on each corner... if you reach the covered bridge you've gone too far) and turn left. You will start to see the vineyard on your right. The farmhouse is set back from the road, #4288.

The vineyard (3 miles from the winery) is not normally open to the public except on special holiday weekends.
